When Peaceful Protests Go Violent

This course was originally targeted at private security officers, municipal utility workers, Uber drivers, and small business owners. However recent events, in the streets of America, suggest a major re-focus  is needed. This course has now been re-purposed to serve all Americans.

Well, at least...Americans concerned about the state of our Nation, and the rampant corruption of Government.

How to Survive an American Riot  has been re-designed to meet the needs of the typical voter. However, the course is still pertinent for the original audiences-- such as private security officers, drivers, etc.

The course is wide-ranging. It provides a bit of historical context with civil unrest from the past. However, a bulk of the content includes practical  advice on topics such as:

  • The importance of situational awareness.

  • The "actors" you will need to deal with. This includes protestors, counter-protestors, criminal opportunists, and the police.

  • What are protestors allowed to do? Where are they allowed to do it?

  • The importance of tactical and contingency planning.

  • Chemical riot-control agents. This includes basic first aid and self-aid.

  • Unidentified police. What are they? How to respond?

  • How to avoid being identified as a protestor. What to do if arrested.

Several .PDF resources are included with the lectures. They enrich the learning experience by covering topics such as:

  • Dealing with trespassers

  • Conducting a business security assessment

  • Heat-related illnesses
