Practise interactive English communication while working through real MBA Strategic Management assignments

Develop your spoken English while working through real MBA assignments. This course combines communication practice with core business content to support international students preparing for or currently studying in MBA programmes.

MBA Simulations is a practical, communication-focused course designed for current and prospective international MBA students who want to strengthen their ability to participate confidently in spoken academic and professional tasks. The course gives you the opportunity to work through typical MBA assignments while developing the interactive language skills that matter most in real-life classroom and teamwork situations.

In most English-medium MBA programmes, your success depends not only on reading case studies or writing papers but also on how well you can collaborate, debate, present, and problem-solve in real time. Standardised tests like IELTS or TOEFL may have helped you get admitted, but they rarely prepare you for the fast-paced, discussion-driven, and culturally diverse nature of MBA learning. This course fills that gap.

Through a series of simulated pair assignments, you will apply widely used MBA models and frameworks such as SWOT analysis, Porter’s Five Forces, the 4Ps, and others to business problems while practising spontaneous speaking, active listening, and collaborative decision-making in English.

Each of the five modules in this course corresponds to a core MBA subject area — such as Strategic Management, Marketing, Operations, Finance, etc. Within each module, you will complete five role-play assignments designed to simulate real MBA tasks. You and your partner will discuss, negotiate, and present your ideas as you would in a business school cubicle.

The assignments focus on realistic application, not rote memorisation. You will not just define the tools; you will use them. As you do, you will learn how to explain your reasoning, respond to a peer’s point of view, and express uncertainty or disagreement diplomatically.

Get ready to speak up, think fast, and work smart — in English.
