The full Series 7 exam covers the four major job functions of a general securities representative and has 135 questions, 10 of which are "test" questions, leaving 125 official questions. You must answer 72%, or 90 questions, to pass. The sections of the exam and associated number of questions you can expect to see on test day include:
Seeks Business for the Broker-Dealer - 9 / 125 questions.
Opens Accounts after Evaluating Customers’ Financial Profile - 11 / 125
Provides Customers with Information about Investments, etc. Major topic area. - 91 / 125
Obtains and Verifies Customers’ Purchase and Sales Instructions, etc. - 14 / 125
On the official Series 7 exam, you can take 225 minutes, or 3.75 hours. This is equal to 225 minutes / 135 questions = 1.7 minutes per question.
In the practice Series 7 exam quizzes in this course, you will see 27 questions only, and need to get at least 20 correct to be on track to achieve a passing score on the official series 7 exam. You will have 27 questions x 1.7 minutes = 46 minutes to take the quizzes.
This course also comes with one full length practice test with 135 questions. This full length test is comprised of the same questions that are in the practice quizzes. However, they are presented in a totally different order. As such, we recommend using the practice quizzes periodically to check progress, and then take the full length test near the end of your preparation process.
