An introduction to some of the basic but most essential sewing skills to begin your sewing journey.
This course is a free mini introduction to my full course Fundamentals For Sewing: Learn the Basic Skills for Sewing. It follows the same format that I have used to teach my school students for over 10 years.
We start at the beginning, so there’s no need to stress if you’ve never sewn before. We’ll start by learning about the basic sewing terminology and the important tools of the trade. You will learn how to thread your sewing machine and take your time to practice stitching straight lines, curved lines and pivots in corners with the stitch practice worksheets.
By the end of the course, you’ll have developed a basic understanding of the fundamental skills and knowledge required for your next sewing journey. Which will hopefully be the full course to learn all the other important but fundamental skills to produce professional looking projects!
