Foundations of Sales and Purchase Agreements, Marketing, Shipping and Trading in the LNG industry

Liquefied Natural Gas is the fastest-growing segment of the global oil & gas industry. And the role of trading within the LNG industry has expanded even faster, owing to increasing market size and liquidity. This can bring huge career and business opportunities for those who truly understand LNG.

This course provides foundational knowledge on core aspects of the commercial LNG value chain, from feed gas procurement to shipping, with an emphasis on pricing formulas, Sale & Purchase Agreements, and project netbacks.

Whilst this course is designed to work on a standalone basis, starting with a brief recap of LNG basics, a background of LNG and commodity market fundamentals will be useful. We lifted some introductory lessons from our LNG 101 course to cover the basics, however the two courses are complementary to each other.

A background in Business / Finance or Petroleum Engineering / Chemical Engineering / other Engineering will be helpful but by no means required.

The goal here is to provide you with solid foundational knowledge. This course will accelerate your journey into the world of LNG contracting and trading, enabling a steep learning curve as you move into more advanced topics. Please note that the course does not provide legal or investment advice.

Thus whether you work in industry or academia, whether you are an investor or a journalist, or a graduate at the start of his or her career - if you are looking for a broad yet efficient introduction into LNG Sales, Marketing and Trading, this course is for you.
