What is a freight dispatcher/freight dispatching?
A dispatcher is an agent who is contracted by the carrier with the purpose of finding loads, freight, or commodities to haul from one location to another location. The dispatcher often keeps up with the administrative paperwork for the carrier, as well being the middle man who communicates all the load specifics and details between the broker and the carrier throughout the load, from the initial contact regarding the load, and throughout the load completion & invoicing.
