This is one of the initiatives by the Education for Migrants organization. The goal of this course is to help save lives by empowering migrants with the skills they need to survive wherever they are. It is sad to note that, every year, thousands of young lives are lost in the sea in an attempt to make a living in Europe because they cannot get the basic life commodities in their home countries. This is due to the expensive nature of today's goods and services and that, to afford them, one needs money but, to get it, they need a job, which needs skills/experience, which many of our young people do not have. This course, and the rest of them from the same instructor, equips them with the skills to make their own products cost-effectively and efficiently without risking their lives by going to overseas countries. By doing these courses, you can be able to grow your own food, keep your own livestock, generate your own electricity, make your own cosmetics, fabrics and medicines. In a community of 100 people, if 10 could have these skills, the need to go to other countries will be done away with in the long term. I encourage you to enrol for this course, learn how to manufacture your own products and live independently, self-sufficiently, or even start a business with the surplus produce you will make. I wish you all the best.

This course will also benefit:

  • Aspiring farmers – Beginners who want to enter the poultry industry with proper knowledge.

  • Small-scale or backyard farmers – Looking to improve their practices or scale up production.

  • Unemployed youth and job seekers – Gaining practical skills to start a livelihood.

  • Entrepreneurs and investors – Interested in starting or managing a profitable poultry business.

  • Rural and peri-urban residents – Who have access to land and want to utilize it for income generation.

  • Agriculture students and graduates – Enhancing theoretical knowledge with practical applications.

  • NGOs and development workers – Training communities to promote food security and income.

  • Women empowerment groups – Supporting women in generating income through poultry farming.

  • Teachers and vocational trainers – Incorporating poultry farming into skills development programs.
