Indepth understanding on Development tean, Scrum Master and Product Owner roles to be able to run your Scrum processes

Welcome to this training, which is focused on effectively understanding the Scrum roles in-depth, namely the Product Owner, Scrum master, and the development team, and going deeper into the practical aspects of the day-to-day functions.

It will help you learn from my experience and effectively run your product development. In this training, we will first learn the product owner role and the deeper aspects like Product Vision, Product Roadmap, Requirements Management, and finally, how the product owner should interact with the team and the mindset he needs to have while managing the product development.

Next, we go deeper into learning the Scrum master role. It is the most misunderstood role, and the Scrum master is only thought of as someone who schedules meetings, takes notes, and communicates status updates. We will see his background role of Servant leadership, creating a high-performing team, his leadership, coaching, support, and creating an environment of trust, which makes people feel safe.

Next, we will go deeper into the development team role, the self-organization, the working agreement, the mindset change from being responsible for the team goal, and the behaviors expected. In this section, we will learn the deeper aspects of the product owner role, like strategic and team-oriented responsibilities, Requirements Management, backlog prioritization techniques, and behavioral mindset. A product owner has 2 major areas of responsibility. One is strategic and the other is Scrum team-oriented. First is the industry-focused strategic aspects of the product. In my experience, the Scrum Master is the most misunderstood role in Scrum, because teams often think of it as a person who has no significant role to play in Scrum and just schedules meetings, takes notes, books conference rooms, and simply interferes in all meetings. In this section, we will begin with an overview of the Scrum master role, and then we will look at his other roles as a Scrum owner, facilitator, leader, and a coach. We will learn more about how a Scrum master influences an organization's culture through leadership to bring psychological safety. We will look at skills like facilitation, coaching skills, etc. A scrum master is also called a coach who helps the team build capabilities and improve performance. A Scrum master has 4 primary responsibilities. Development refers to the work done to build a product. An Agile development team is a group of technical people who are responsible for developing the product. They are ideally multiskilled to be able to develop a feature end-to-end quickly. An agile development team is cross-functional; it includes people with all the roles required to develop a product, e.g., designers, developers, testers, Quality, etc.

They organize as one unit to plan, design, develop, test, and release a feature, and are responsible for the successful delivery of the product. Hence, they have the authority and power to decide the technical aspects, how the work will be addressed, and how much work will be done in each sprint.

The development team is limited to 10 or fewer members. This makes the team flexible to address changes quickly and deliver faster.
