Curso de Psicología de la Ansiedad
In this anxiety course you will learn everything you need to know to understand in depth what anxiety is, how it manifests itself, why it appears and, above all, how to start managing it effectively. It is not just another theoretical course: it is designed for you to understand anxiety from the inside and be able to apply real tools that will help you to recover your wellbeing or to accompany others in that process.
From the beginning, I will explain what anxiety is and how it works in your body and mind. You will see that it is not just about being nervous or worried, but it is a complex response of the nervous system that, although it has a protective function, can become overwhelming when activated without control. I will teach you to differentiate between normal anxiety (which we all feel at certain times) and pathological anxiety, that which becomes persistent, intense or limiting.
Together we will go through the different types of anxiety disorders, such as generalized anxiety disorder, social phobia, panic attacks, specific phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. Not only will I describe them, but you will understand their causes, their characteristic symptoms and how they develop over time.
A central part of the course is dedicated to understanding the causes of anxiety, both the deeper ones (such as early experiences, negative thoughts, ways of interpreting the world) and the more immediate ones (such as daily stress, social pressure or fear of the future). You will see how biology, emotions, thoughts and environment influence the development and maintenance of the problem.
But the most important thing is that we are not going to stay only in theory. You will learn practical tools for working with anxiety, based on effective therapeutic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment, conscious breathing and progressive exposure. I will show you how to identify your anxious thoughts, how to challenge them, and how to change your reaction patterns. We will also practice emotional regulation strategies, body relaxation and coping techniques to deal with situations that are difficult for you today.
In addition, we will discuss the link between anxiety and other aspects of your life, such as sleep, food, relationships, daily rhythm and the personal meaning you give to your life. You will see that overcoming anxiety is not just about controlling symptoms, but about creating a more balanced, coherent and connected life with yourself.
You will also have access to content on prevention, self-care and emotional support, whether you are working on yourself as a therapist, teacher or mental health professional. The idea is that you leave this course not only with more knowledge, but with more clarity, more tools and more confidence.
